Be the change you want to see

What we’re watching this week...

The COVID-19 pandemic presented new challenges for everyone, including our children. We are living in very uncertain times and it’s critical we ask them if they’re feeling ok.

By popular demand, we invited Dr Niall Muldoon, Ireland’s Ombudsman for Children, back to talk to us about the impact of COVID on children. Niall provided a lot of insights into what the pandemic has meant for children, especially those who are vulnerable. He talked about the need for hope and gave some great advice on how we can all help make a difference in their lives. We learn something new every time we talk to Niall. How have your children, or children you know, responded to the pandemic? Join the discussion on our social media pages.

What we’re interacting with this week…

Last week, we mentioned the circle of influence. It looks at the things that concern us and whether we can actually do something about them.

Anthony Lynch, Body and Lifestyle Transformation Coach, shared a graphic from The WellFit Method. It’s a great visualization that reminds us that the majority of things we might worry about are unlikely to actually happen. As an overthinker, it certainly spoke to me.

What we’re reading this week…

It’s important to take time for yourself and focus on the things that bring you joy.

Dr Chatterjee is doing just that. He’s announced a hiatus to his brilliant newsletter, Friday Five, over the summer. Dr Chatterjee plans to spend a few weeks with his wife and kids while getting back to nature. Consider subscribing to his newsletter as it will return and is always thought provoking. Don’t worry, Tuesday Trio is not going on holiday.
