Can I do this?

This week, we’re asking, “Can I do this?”

  • Am I prepared?
  • Am I rushing things?
  • Can I stick with my decision?

Do we overthink our decisions? Do we sometimes make a decision too fast? Do we question our decisions? Do we regret them? Do we believe in them?

What are we thinking about this week?

“Can I do this?” “I’m not ready” “I made a bad decision” – How often do we say this to ourselves? How often do we say it about ourselves to others? How often do our colleagues or our employees say this to us?

Do these thoughts affect our mental health and wellbeing? Is our working environment supportive and responsive in relieving our self-questioning? Are we able to step back and look at the bigger picture? Are we able to see that, in fact, we are already doing this?

At I Am Here, we invite you to share the decisions you took. Were they hard decisions? Were they easy decisions? Were you able to stick with your decisions? How did it work out for you?

What are we reading this week?

“If you fail to plan, then you are planning to fail.”

The following post, by Christian Baker, asks us what we’re prepared to do, and whether we set ourselves up for success or failure.

Failing to Prepare is Preparing to Fail (3-minute read)

Is this truly our decision? Is preparation an employer’s duty of care or is it an employee’s duty of care?

Tell us your story, your experience – personally, professionally, socially?

Who are we quoting this week?

“I used to be indecisive but now I am not quite sure.”

– Tommy Cooper

Is indecision a decision in itself? Let’s keep it real. I Am Here would love to hear from you on any of our social platforms or through DM. We learn from each other and all input from you goes to serve the CLEAR skills of Compassion, Listening, Empathy, Acceptance, and Real.
